COSTA MESA, CA - Coast Colleges is pleased to welcome Zsofia Killeen as its new student trustee, representing the voices of students across Orange Coast College, Golden West College, and Coastline College.

Killeen will be sworn in at her first Board of Trustees meeting on June 17, 2026, where she will serve as the official student representative, providing input on matters affecting Coast Colleges more than 40,000 students.

A student at Golden West College, Killeen is pursuing studies in global studies with plans to transfer to a University of California campus and ultimately earn a law degree.

"I am honored to serve as student trustee and represent the diverse perspectives of our student body," said Killeen. "Each of our campuses has unique needs, and I am committed to ensuring all students feel supported and heard."

Killeen brings a strong understanding of the varied challenges students face, particularly in meeting basic needs such as housing, food security, and access to resources. Her priorities reflect a commitment to equitable solutions that recognize differences across the district's campuses.

"Zsofia's insight into the student experience and her dedication to advocacy will be invaluable to our Board," said Dr. Elizabeth Dorn Parker, president of the CCCD Board of Trustees. "We look forward to her contributions as we continue to support student success across the district."

As student trustee, Killeen will serve a one-year term, providing recommendations and perspective on policies, initiatives, and programs that affect students districtwide.
